The W@W Videofest — an audio-visual feast showcasing short films focusing on a Philippine wedding industry institution.
I was invited to participate the first time around. I was again invited for its second offering — this time to honor Jason Magbanua’s 10th year in the business.

When I first heard that there would be another videofest, I was deeply honored. Jason was more than just THE MAN when it comes to videography… he was a friend and a kumpare.
I started the project with no concept nor a script… me and my team just started shooting interviews (including a road trip to Lucena). After shooting (and listening) to all the stories and eventually getting the big picture, I started to admire Jason even more. His story was nothing short of amazing.
So here is Jason’s story…

This is perfection Bob!
Not just because of the subject matter, heh! But the amount of research, the pains and the hard work of the shoot, I am speechless.
You brought me near tears Kumpare! Thank you!

Jason Magbanua is a genuine example of success without sacrificing the principle and concept behind his works. Totoo naman na nakakafrustrate na makita sa isang wedding na halos scripted na ng nagko-cover. It’s good na may videographers like Jason who respects the solemnity of the occasion by not intruding. Lumalabas na natural, and that’s how wedding videos should be made. Very inspiring talaga!
