Benson and Ling

June 21, 2011

Laos is a small country surrounded by China, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Burma on its borders.  It is not on the top of the list of destination wedding locations but it is for that reason — and the fact that it is not “touristy” – which attracted Ling to it in the first place.

Benson and Ling’s is not your typical destination wedding… it is not your typical wedding period. :-)  It had culture with the Laotian Baci wedding ceremony — prayers by monks, blessing by village elders and tying of the couple’s wrists.  It had tradition with the very Chinese fetch-the-bride session — where the groom and his “crew” had to endure a series of challenges from the bride’s “team.”  It had stories… plenty of stories.  From the night before the wedding all the way til the reception, stories abound… stories that touch your heart.

Here’s Benson and Ling’s Laotian wedding highlight video.

We wished we had spent more time with you guys if not for the many activities we had to get to…. You have been sooo gracious, extremely professional and such courteous bunch.

    We cannot thank you enough.
