It all started with Yayie being the mystery “girl in the jeepney” in Art’s life.

While some guys look at the eyes… some look at the smile… some look at the body. Art? He looks at the feet. One day, while riding a jeepney, he caught himself staring at the “cleanest, most appealing feet ever.” Art did not know this girl but he kept describing her to his friends until he finally found out that it was Yayie. Soon, he asked her out on a date.

“Say, “Yes” to me now and I’ll court you forever.”

How’s that for a romantic line… for a FIRST date.

Those were the words of Art for Yayie during their first date at Ice Blink — home of Naga’s best halo-halo — even if Yayie was three hours late for the date. And true to his word, Art has treated everyday as Valentine’s Day… eight years and counting.
